ABOUT US
A Purpose-Driven Brand from the Heart
This brand is my love letter to every child I’ve advocated for, every family I’ve witnessed, and every creative idea I’ve been waiting to bring to life. It’s fashion with a mission. Business with a heart. And it’s only the beginning.
As a state adjudicator, I’ve reviewed countless disability claims, many of them involving children on the autism spectrum. Day after day, I see families struggling to navigate complex systems while trying to advocate for their children’s needs. Behind every case file is a child with a unique personality, incredible potential, and a story that deserves to be honored. Over time, it became impossible to ignore the emotional weight of what I was witnessing. I wanted to do more than process paperwork. I wanted to be part of a bigger solution.
My professional background is rooted in child psychology and social service. Before my adjudicator role, I worked closely with families, providing care and support that always centered on empathy. That experience taught me that every child deserves to be seen, not just for their challenges, but for their brilliance, sensitivity, and spark.
At the same time, I’ve always had a deep love for fashion. Through blogging and creative direction, I found a way to express myself, tell stories, and build community. Over the years, fashion became more than an outlet, it became a calling. I realized I could merge both passions, my advocacy for neurodivergent children and my creative instincts, into something meaningful.
That’s how Neurmal Kids was born.
Neurmal Kids is more than a brand, it’s a mission-driven platform that celebrates neurodiversity through thoughtful, inclusive, and comforting apparel. Designed with sensory-sensitive children in mind, each piece is created to feel as good as it looks. Soft textures, minimal seams, and empowering visuals are just a few ways we aim to bring joy to children and peace of mind to their parents.
I chose the name "Neurmal" as a play on “neuro” and “normal”, to challenge the notion that there is a single standard for how minds should work. Neurodivergent children are not broken. They are simply wired differently, and that difference is something to be celebrated, not masked.
What makes this brand truly unique is the heart behind it. Every design, every blog post, and every product release is rooted in my direct experience, both professionally and personally. I’ve seen what families go through. I’ve read the emotional assessments. I’ve talked to educators and therapists. And I know that, while resources and therapy are essential, so is representation, community, and dignity in the everyday things, like getting dressed in the morning.
With Neurmal Kids, I hope to offer more than just clothing. I hope to spark conversations, build connections, and be part of a shift toward greater inclusion and understanding. I want children to feel confident in their uniqueness. I want parents to feel supported. And I want the world to start seeing neurodivergence not as a disorder, but as a powerful part of human diversity.
